Smoke detectors can save lives! Manufacturers suggest you test your smoke detector monthly. Never disable your smoke detector for any reason. Replace your smoke detector's batteries annually. How would you escape if your home were on fire?  Make an emergency escape plan, and be sure to include all family members including children.  It is very important to set a rally point, one spot where every one meets incase of an emergency.
